1940s Radcliffe Watercolor Floral Bias-Cut Satin Gown
Details
A beautiful true 1940s Radcliffe satin gown featuring a soft watercolor-style floral print in shades of coral pink, pale blue, green, and cream. The elegant bias-cut construction allows the fabric to fall fluidly over the body, creating a long, graceful silhouette with beautiful movement.
The bodice features a flattering V-neckline, softly gathered bust panels, wide shoulder straps, and a fitted curved waistband that defines the waist. The placement of the floral print is especially lovely, with brighter rose motifs appearing across the shoulders, bodice, skirt, and back. Its romantic coloring, luminous satin, and feminine draping make this a special example of 1940s lingerie design.
Originally created as a nightgown, this piece can be styled today as a romantic evening dress, wedding-guest look, special-occasion gown, or collectible vintage garment.
